Scooby Snacks

"Would you do it for a Scooby Snack?"

I decided to make Scooby Snacks today. And I didn't want to make these IMPOSTERS:

Vanilla Wafer Cookies? They repackaged Nilla Wafers and tried to pass them off as Scooby Snacks? Scooby Snacks are much more powerful than that, those COWARDS.

No, I decided to go another route and make snacks that were both safe for dogs and delicious for humans. Naturally, they needed to be peanut butter flavored.

INGREDIENTS
1/2 cp organic sugar
2 tbs butter
1 egg
2 tbs water
2 tsp baking powder
1/8 tsp salt
3/4 cp peanut butter
1 cp flour
1 helper dog

This is what a helper dog looks like.

ANYWAYS, these ingredients are all perfectly safe to feed to dogs, and the organic sugar is STRENUOUSLY recommended, as processed sugar is frequently unsafe for dogs.

Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream sugar and butter (this is what creamed organic sugar looks like).

Step 2: Add egg and beat. Beat like a redheaded stepchild (which I am).

Step 3: Add milk, flour, salt, and baking powder. Scrape sides of bowl frequently to get it allllll in there.

Step 4: Add peanut butter (GO MIXER GO).

Step 4: Drop on GREASED baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes. If the sheet's ungreased it's a huge pain in the ass.

Step 5: Omnomnom.

These were excellent. Very peanut-buttery without being too sticky when I was dropping them. Just like how I imagined Scooby Snacks would taste.

And Helper Dog loved them. Look at him sit. WHOSAGOODBOY?

These were wonderful. Kudos to you, Scooby Doo (and the Mystery Gang).

Spaghetti Tacos

Well, I'm cooking/I'm cooking things/Cooking things for people to eat/I'm cooking/I'm cooking things/Things that people will chew.

Hi, everyone! They're currently ripping up the tile in my kitchen (which is, of course, the perfect time to start a food blog) so I decided to start with something simple. The Spaghetti Taco.

Courtesy of this man.

That man is the fictional character Spencer Shay from the Nickelodeon show iCarly. I watch the show fairly regularly, and one of the recurring food themes (besides Hey Hey Hey Hey What Am I Sitting On) is Spaghetti Tacos, made by Spencer for the iCarly crew. So I decided to make them.

I am no photographer, but holy God were these things good.

Also, the recipe itself couldn't have been easier. I used three ingredients and they could not have been better. I used vodka sauce, however, in place of spaghetti sauce to get the nice color. I also used flat-bottom taco shells so it would be a little easier to get the spaghetti in.

And they were delicious. Something I'll definitely make again.

INGREDIENTS
2 cp spaghetti
1 cp Newman's Own Vodka Sauce
Taco Shells
Salt and Pepper to taste

Step 1: Boil salted water (salted water boils faster)

Step 2: Add spaghetti to boiling water. In separate pot, heat Newman's Own on medium-low.

Step 3: Throw a strand of spaghetti at your wall. If it sticks, it's ready.

Step 4: PREPARE THE SHELLS.

Step 5: Consume.

These were wonderful. Kudos to you, Spencer Shay.
